S.A.S.S.y is a FREE training that aims to teach women and youth how to remain situationally aware, identify potentially dangerous situations & indicators of violence, and how to create & maintain space. Our instructor will discuss avoidance & deescalation techniques that can help maintain safety while in public or intimate settings; Provide an in-depth explanation of your right to safety; Lightly touch on the physiological responses to fight or flight; Emphasize the importance and power of body language and your voice; And help you learn to formulate individual self-protection plans based on your abilities, limitations, skill level, and the tool(s) you choose to utilize for safety.
This event will be held at the Pratt Farm Lodge at 587 Smyrna-Lepsic Road, Smyrna DE 19977.
You do not have to register for the event. Women and teens welcome.
